Starship Design Contest

The 'Osiris' team is very happy to announce our first official contest to you the viewer!

We are officially inviting YOU to submit an original design for two new classes of starship that will be featured in upcoming episodes of Star Trek: Osiris.

We will be accepting submissions from today (April 29, 2009) until May 23, 2009. Please submit designs to millada.productions at gmail dot com with "Starship Design Contest" in the subject. Designs should also be submitted in a 5 orthographic view format (fore, aft, ventral, dorsal, and perspective). The designs will be judged by the production staff and the winner announced on May 24th. The winning design will be modeled in 3D by our CGI Team and the designer will be credited in every episode the starship appears in.

Also, depending on your location, the winner will be offered either a voice over part or walk on role in an upcoming episode of the series.

Please use the following design specs as a guideline for your submission. Please also note that the designs should be consistent with late 24th Century Starfleet design cues (Post Nemesis):

U.S.S. Arago - Bainbridge Class Science Vessel
Length: 231m
Beam: 135m
Height: 65 m
Decks: 15
Crew: 520

U.S.S. Hood - Powell Class Fleet Command Starship
Length: 641m
Beam: 470m
Height: 145m
Crew: 800
Decks: 30

I know things are hectic, but it's been almost a year since the last contest. Will there be a new contest in the near future? Will the next contest boldly go when no man has gone before? Or, do we just have to continue to be teased by the Osiris brain trust? Just wondering on what's going on. Thanks.

Well, I guess it's something we haven't thought of in quite a while!

I actually completely forgot about this to be honest, and I just realized I never announced the winner of this contest either...

With Eclipse Part II coming out and our second episode on the horizon maybe the team can cook something up for the fans!
